Corn on the Cob
The tent stitch (basket or continental) is more versatile than one would think. It is quite flat compared to longer floating stitches of some decorative patterns, and it is this high/low effect that can be used to great advantage in the advance/recede considerations of a design. We see this here as the grid appears to stand advance over the tent filler. See Polar Explorers and Flowers 'tween the Tiles for other examples of this.
