Note: The sample in the version below was stitched while we were still working out some rules of thumb. We've decided that it's easiest to always stitch the solid blocks the same way (as seen in the charts below). This means the picture and chart may vary in this respect. If you're a details person, you might want to vary the solids to get symmetry in the thread lengths to match the symmetry of the design,
