Birthe Wilson-Achtner is a well known artisan who lives in the historical City of Nelson on the edge of Kootenay Lake in British Columbia. She is an accomplished fabric artist and designer.

Her work has been sold in Europe, Canada, United States, and Japan. She has also contributed her knowledge to the film industry in North America.
